Which Navigation System Does Your BMW 8 Series Have?

Every BMW 8 Series G14, G15, and G16 received one of two factory navigation systems depending on which Live Cockpit option was ordered at the factory. The M8 variants share identical navigation hardware with their standard G14, G15, and G16 counterparts — the M badge does not change the head unit. BMW discontinued the 8 Series G15 at the end of April 2026 without a replacement model. Map updates remain available for all G14, G15, and G16 vehicles already on the road — discontinuation of production does not affect map update availability.
